Choose To Care (CTC) was started in 2007. It has been 19 years since its inception and we have worked relentlessly to bring goodwill to children and young adults in need of shoes.
Our mission intentionally wanted to deliver a brand new pair of shoes and we did. These children oftentimes were wearing hand me downs, wore shoes that were too big or too small and many times with holes and worn out soles.We at CTC wanted to make a difference in their lives and we did.
This journey has brought us so much joy. The smile on the faces of the children said it all; mission accomplished.However, this was more than about a brand new pair of shoes. This small gesture was meant to build confidence, to let the children know that there are people who cared about their well-being and their future. We wanted them to hold on to hope. The brand new pair of shoes symbolized their new beginning, the possibilities that exist on their journey to a brighter future.
I will continue to give support where I can but the dissolution of CTC has began and we will not be able to sponsor any projects during this process.It has become difficult to raise sufficient funds to carry on our mission.
We are thankful for all our supporters. CTC could not have existed for these many years without our supporters in our corner. Our hearts are saddened but we are filled with gratitude and great appreciation. We will forever be advocates for those in need.
