THE JOY OF BEING OF SERVICE

November is around the corner and so much on the horizon; but as important as the upcoming election is, we at Choose To Care(CTC) have remained focused and determined to keep our monthly commitment to sponsor a public school teacher's request through Donors Choose, the funding site for teachers.

For the month of November, CTC sponsored Mrs Almon's classroom project at Dwight-Beluzzi School, Hartford, CT.  She said,

"Please help keep our feet warm"  She wanted shoes to keep her students feet warm and dry, especially during the winter months.

The devoted teacher described her students as vibrant, hard workers, eager to learn and grow.  The project was created to help some of the students whose families are refugees and do not have the means to provide for their children fully.  These are difficult times and we at CTC are happy to help.

We are filled with gratitude for CTC supporters who make this possible, it means so much to us.

"Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it" Helen Keller

Cultivating A Kinder World

We have welcomed another month.  And it is time again for Choose To Care (CTC) to assist a public school classroom, fulfilling its goal of making a monthly contribution for resources.  This is done through Donors Choose a teacher-funded nonprofit that supports classroom requests nationwide.

Mr. Frazier, the teacher of grades 6-8 at the Manatee School for the Arts, Palmetto, Florida; described his students as creative, dedicated, passionate and versatile in their talents. His theatre students are from low-income households and they need dance shoes that the families cannot provide.

I am honored to assist this dedicated and kindhearted teacher who is working with his students not only on their musical theatre performances but also to be better and more mindful members of society.

This is in memory of Mary Luz Montoya who loved to dance and would no doubt have done a happy dance over this good news. I wish you knew how much you were loved.  You will always be in my heart. Glad to have known you Mary Luz.

Rest In Peace
